Dude!! Where are you? I really missed you in YW today! We had Keely, Kenzie, Sharon (Trent's girlfriend) and Sam. Amanda's grandma said that the whole family was supposed to be at church today, they are going to try to come back, but they didn't show up. Except for the grandma. She is such a nice lady. The lesson in YW today was on scriptures. Here I go with being a hypocrite again. I teach a lesson on searching and reading the scriptures, and I do not do that. Again, do as I say, not as I do. lol I will improve! So, Amy is going to call you and see if we should just go to the temple on Wednesday since that is our usual night for YW, but we have the activity on Saturday. I think they are meeting on Friday at 7 to set up, but we have a family party that night, so I am going to get the things to Amy and some candy to hand out, and then we will meet at 9:30 am on Saturday to get ready. I'll be there on Saturday from 9:30 to about 10:45. I am excited to go to the temple together! We need to get a treat after, even if it is quick. I hope you are doing ok!! I love you!

I am such a loser! And not in a good way. lol Sorry I am such a slacker and so forgetful when it comes to posting. Conference was good, but I have such a non functioning brain, I couldn't tell you what most of the talks were on, even though I listened or watched almost all of them. The one that really stands out to me was the one on being a hypocrite. I can't even tell you who's talk it was. I can tell you that I am that hypocrite. I teach YW, and don't practice what I preach. I have lots of work to do.

I wish you could come work out with my at the gym. I have some free passes if you ever want to try it out. I have only gone 3 times in the last couple weeks, and the rest of this week is going to be too busy. I can probably go again on Friday. When preschool pictures are over, and I can get back into a routine, it works really well for me to go after Maria is dropped off at school at noon. I just can't make myself exercise in the mornings. I am just too tired and I won't do it then, so noon works for me. I wish I was brave enough to try a class, they have bodypump and cycling classes at noon. I'm just getting brave enough to jump on a weight machine. I plan on doing the gym at least 3 times a week, if you ever want to go walking at noon on days I don't go to the gym, we can do that. I'm tired of being fat too. (But not desperate enough to do that drastic diet and shots. ick.)

So. Amazing,

General Conference.

Whoa, nelly! It was INCREDIBLE! I felt like from the beginning of the first session all the way to the end, all the speakers were talking to me! Concerns, questions, worries--all addressed. Hope returns. God is good. Most definitely.

I can't wait to get my hands on these talks (or ipods, I should say).

On another note, I am sick to death of my weight. I have to figure out what to do. I keep having the great idea to exercise in the morning, and then it doesn't happen, and I am bummed and discouraged and feel like a total lumpy lump. I feel like the frumpiest girl on the block, but i have NOOOO money to get anything new.

Sorry about the whining. I need to pray more about this. I know the Lord cares about how I feel. He understands me. I am not being vain--I just want to be healthy and not have rolls everywhere I turn! But I know I can't obsess--people are more important than me losing weight (especially my people).

I love you, Shantel. You are the best. Thanks for being patient with me and learning along with me!

Trust

Really short post today.

The Lord is in charge. All I have to do is learn to not go kicking and screaming, but embrace the direction He will take me (if I let him).

That is a lot of learning for me, you know?

Oh my goodness!! I know I am the queen of slackers. I have been trying to be so good and go to bed and bedtime is usually the time I get on the computer. So, tonight, that's what I did, play online, and now it's 2 am!! At least there's no school tomorrow. lol

So, I think Jessica's sister did an amazing job, speaking tonight to the girls. It was good for Nicole, Amanda and Cassandra and all the girls,to hear that although you can have some pretty amazing trials in life, there is still good to look for. I know at the jr. high and high school age, life is pretty tough. But, we also know that no matter what, the Savior is there for us. She was such a sweet girl and has been through so much. My heart breaks for her and what she still has to go through. I am so glad she has a testimony and that she shared it with us.
